Sabancı University hosted a full-day NMR Workshop on September 10th, held in collaboration with EFSUN – the Center of Excellence for Functional Surfaces and Interfaces, Oxford Instruments, and Tekafos Technological Systems.
The opening remarks were delivered by Prof. Dr. Burç Mısırlıoğlu, Vice Dean of Sabancı University's Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences. Prof. Mısırlıoğlu highlighted Sabancı University's commitment to advanced characterization techniques and international collaborations.
The event focused on Oxford Instruments' X-Pulse desktop NMR instrument, addressing topics such as multinuclear measurement capabilities, structure characterization in organic chemistry, quantification, and reaction monitoring with flow NMR and variable-temperature NMR (VT NMR). Throughout the day, participants gained theoretical insights into the instrument's operation and had the opportunity to experience the system firsthand in hands-on sessions.
As part of the workshop, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bekir Dizman from Sabancı University gave a general presentation on the fundamental principles and applications of NMR. Asad Saib from Oxford Instruments gave comprehensive and informative presentations on the device's technical specifications and application areas. The talks provided important insights into both academic and industrial research.

Prof. Dr. Ali Koşar and Anıl Tez from Sabancı University, as well as Onur Kütük, Barbaros Buyrukbilen, Mustafa Hakyemez, Burak Elik, Cem Özer, and Barış Akdeniz from Tekafos, made significant contributions to the organization of the event. The workshop was conducted in a productive, practice-oriented environment where knowledge exchange and technical interaction were at the forefront.
